IT'S ONLY A RANT!

It is so much fun to have this website up that doing the paper version has become a bore. The newsletter does not breath and speak the way this site does. For this reason I have decided to end the newsletter and concentrate on the website instead. Subscribers will receive a special Christmas video and postcards announcing our shows, plus the shows are listed at this site as well.

This website has a tremendous international audience, and in one month is seen by more people than the combined circulation of our newsletter in total! Over the coming months we'll add an archive, rants room, questions and comments and streamin’ videos.

So a new era, the fourth for this film society begins. Everyone I know surfin' the web watches less television. The telephone had wiped out written correspondence, e-mail has brought it back with a vengeance. Reading had taken a beating, the internet is 90% reading. It is the greatest magazine store, film club, historical society, adult bookstore and news service on earth.
