SOUTH PARK
Bigger, Longer & Uncut
The Funniest Fucking Movie of the Summer
Who says musicals can't be psychotronic? In this cartoon fantasy, little
Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Eric scam their way into an R-rated Canadian film called Asses
of Fire and come out spewing profanity. This of course leads to the apocalypse in
which Satan returns to Earth to claim it for his own, cheered on by his abusive boyfriend,
Saddam Hussein.
Some may feel this movie is the height of hype, but it's really subtle, in
a way. It's immediately self-referential and self-lampooning, without making a big deal
out of it. It shows us Kenny's face for the first time, without making a big deal out of
it. It shows us Big Gay Al's full monty, without making a big deal out of it. It shows us
that sometimes even smart Overlords of the Damned make foolish choices, without making a
big deal out of it. It shows us how the Maple Menace of Canada is undermining the youth of
America by taking over the entertainment industry, without making a big de- - oh, all
right, it makes a pretty big deal out it. You'll be mighty riled, too, when you see what
those godless Canucks do to our most cherished showbiz families.
This is by far the best and funniest movie about swearing ever made. If
you don't like it, you can kiss my ass, you shit-eating uncle fucker.
It's also the best musical of the decade. You won't be able to get the
catchy tunes like "Blame Canada" and "I'm Super" out of your head once
they've lodged there. Also, the dance routines are top notch. Voices include George
Clooney, Sir Isaac Hayes, Eric Idle, Dave Foley and Mike Judge. Minnie Driver, fresh
from her triumph as Tarzan's Jane, plays Brooke
Shields with so much power and authority that I thought I was watching the real thing.
Psycho killer; blood; ghosts; demons; angels; heads
roll; farts ignite; electricution; explosions; superpowered cyborg mecha-cartman.
